Special Issue "Signaling: From Past to Future"
Much progress has been made in the signalling field over the last twenty years; new molecules and mechanisms have been discovered and novel methods and technologies were invented.
On the occasion of the Signal Transduction Society (STS)’s 20th Anniversary in November 2018, we want to look back on what has been achieved in the last decades and to speculate with you on future achievements that might impact the field. To do so, we would like to celebrate 20 years of signalling by publishing a Special Issue of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS) (ISSN 1422-0067), section "Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology“. IJMS is part of the MDPI publishing group and since last year a co-sponsor of the STS Honorary Medal.
We invite all participants of the 22nd Joint Meeting of the STS as well as all STS members and all scientists working in the field of signal transduction to submit latest original research articles as well as reviews, commentaries or perspectives that cover aspects of signal transduction, from past to future. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website.
With this issue, we hope to make visible the fascinating dynamics of this field, to show the many different facets of research that the members of our society work on and to highlight the importance of signal transduction for many aspects of life science from basic to translational research.
The journal grants 10% discount for submissions for participants of the meeting.
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 31 January 2019
We hope that you will support this endeavour and we look forward to receiving your contributions. Take a chance!
With best regards,
The STS council and advisory board
